Advanced Mat Certification     

Our Advanced Mat Pilates Certification continues where the Basic mat leaves off. This course teaches more challenging exercises and how to challenge a client by adjusting the exercises they already know. This class also introduces props such as the circle, weights, flex band, small ball and foam roller.

Advanced mat also goes in to body profiling. Body profiling teaches an Instructor how to access a clients flexibility, posture, weakness, strengths and alignment so you can create a program designed specifically for your clients needs to maximize results.


Available Course Dates: Each session consists of one weekend. 

  • March 13 and 14, 2010
  • May 22 and 23, 2010
  • July 10 and 11, 2010
  • October 9 and 10, 2010
  • January 23 and 24, 2011

 Hours: Saturday & Sunday: 9-6pm

 Tuition: $400  

Additional Information: Students are strongly recommended to register in advance. Advanced Mat manual will be mailed out 10 days prior to course to allow time for studying of the material. Students registering less then 10 days prior to course will receive this course Manual the first day of class.

  • Fundamental principals that apply to all Pilates exercises  

  • How to recognize correct and incorrect movement and form

  • How to recognize the cause of incorrect movement and form

  • Effective communication via verbal & tactile cueing, demonstration and imagery skills

  • How to assess a clients needs and develop a program based on that assessment

  • Basic anatomy as it pertains to each exercise

  • How to adapt an exercise for a clients

  • Body Profiling tools
